He was a radio operator on one of the Liberty Ship merchant ships. The notice to my aunt & uncle stated the ship was torpedoed in the North Atlantic. The ship was the US Malantic. All were lost. One report said there were survivors at first trying to be rescued by a British ship. Rough seas knocked them of the climb netting and all were lost. Francis Broslet was the only son of my aunt & uncle, Julius and Alberta Broslet. Alberta was the older sister of my Mother.
